English for Young

Learners Program

English for Young Learners Program

It is hard to imagine a world without English. To excel in the 21st Century English is a prerequisite. It is therefore essential that our children become confident and proficient users of the language.

For that to happen, language acquisition should start at an early age and should be taught engagingly and creatively. Emphasis must also be given to the development of all four skills; listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This ensures that they develop the ability to use the language academically as well as in the real world in an effective way.

EYLP is specially designed for schools that would like to raise the English proficiency levels. The complete program is designed around the learning outcomes at different CEFR*(Common European Framework for Reference) levels. This helps the school to internationally benchmark the English proficiency levels of their students.

Our approach:

As part of the onboarding process an ‘English Level Placement test’ (ELPT) designed around CEFR levels* is conducted for groups of 5 students per class (schools may choose to conduct the ELPT for the complete school at special prices not included in the program). The students may be randomly chosen by the school. This helps us accurately measure the students’ current level of English language skills and deliver content that is level and age-appropriate.

The major focus of the “English for Young Learners program” would be to improve students’ speaking skills with a relevant focus on reading, writing, and listening skills. To make learning fun and natural, we employ the communicative method of teaching. It also ensures that students are more receptive and motivated.

The content has been designed in a manner that complements the school curriculum. As English is the medium of instruction for all subjects, it will have a positive impact on the students’ overall academic performance.

The EYLP is available at three CEFR levels:

Note: EYLP is also available at B2, C1 and C2 level upon request.
