Before you begin:
  • The test has 3 parts and takes 11–14 minutes. Your examiner is pre-recorded; your answers are recorded by your microphone.
  • After each question, the recording light turns red — speak naturally, then press Done.
  • In Parts 1 and 3 you may re-record once per question. Part 2 is a single take, just like the real exam.
  • Part 2 gives you a cue card, 1 minute to prepare (you can type notes), then up to 2 minutes to speak.
  • Use headphones in a quiet room. Switching browser tabs is logged.

You do not need to give us personal details before practising. After the interview is assessed, we will ask for your separate Free IELTS Practice profile before showing and emailing the report.
