Fictional demonstration. Kabir, his school, responses, marks, student statements and adult observations were invented. No real pupil was assessed. This Grade 7 record contains the complete 30-answer Interest Compass and 20-pair Values Explorer. The short background statements are additional context, not a scored questionnaire or complete teacher/parent perception form.
This is a first-participation-year example, with no previous assessment for measuring change. The field note is described but was not supplied for inspection. Original marked schoolwork, attendance and earlier results are missing. The school grades remain available in the schoolwork chapter on their original 1–7 scale.
Interest Compass · six groups of five statements
Each statement is rated 1 = not me at all, 2 = not really me, 3 = sounds like me, or 4 = this is really me. Each group can total 5–20. The totals below were recalculated from complete fictional item answers mapped to the actual Grade 7 form.
The labels describe groups of statements: Builder concerns hands-on activity; Thinker investigation; Creator creative expression; Connector helping and working with people; Organiser structure and arranging information; Influencer leading, persuading and competition. Some items also ask about self-perceived ability or comfort. These totals do not establish tested skills, intelligence, aptitude or a personality type. Builder and Organiser are tied.
| Questionnaire area | Raw total / maximum |
|---|
| Builder | 11 / 20 |
| Thinker | 19 / 20 |
| Creator | 14 / 20 |
| Connector | 18 / 20 |
| Organiser | 11 / 20 |
| Influencer | 9 / 20 |
Values Explorer · choices within 20 pairs
The form presents two options and requires one choice in each situation. Its tally function adds one count to the selected value. Each of the 20 values appears in two pairs, so each count can be 0, 1 or 2. Across all values the counts sum to 20 selections.
Read “0 / 2” as “not selected on either of its two appearances”. It is not a low morality score, a judgement about character or evidence that a value is absent. The alternatives, wording and situation influence the choice. Seven values are tied at two selections; no unique top value has been assigned.

Read the items before interpreting the count
The questionnaire sometimes sets up alternatives that a real child could combine. In one pair, impact is placed against pacing and health. In another, adventure is expressed through bending a harmless school rule. Kabir’s illustrative choices are retained, but the report does not praise sacrificing health or bypassing rules. The useful conversation asks how to contribute, explore and ask questions while keeping reasonable boundaries.
A stated preference for hard work does not settle why a task remains unfinished. Likewise, a small count for belonging does not remove a concern about friends. Keep the student’s words, the particular choices and observed behaviour separate enough to understand differences.
What this record can and cannot support
These two Grade 7 forms provide answers about the listed interests and values situations. They do not supply personality, emotional-intelligence, learning-style or skills-test results. The development focus comes from the teacher’s and parent’s short observations and remains a practical question to examine with actual work.
Completed reliability studies and approved norm tables for these particular forms were not established from the reviewed files. That is a limit of the present evidence, not a claim that no further research exists elsewhere. Do not create percentile ranks, high/average/low population bands, wellbeing classifications or career codes. Arithmetic checks confirm the stated calculation; they do not validate an instrument.
For a real report, confirm the exact form and response record, check that both Grade 7 questionnaires are complete, and collect the student’s own account. A missing questionnaire stays missing; it must not be replaced by a younger or older grade’s results. New work or a correction from Kabir can change the interpretation.
Source trail and fictional answers
The Grade7_InterestCompass and Grade7_ValuesExplorer HTML files supplied the actual statements, response options, item groups and values tally function. The foundation handover dated 23 August 2026 supplied the Grade 7 scope: broad exploration, changing approach after difficulty, school-arranged contact with an adult and a Mastery Bank.
The assessment record above explains the results and their limits. School results appear in the schoolwork chapter on their original scale. This fictional example shows the information a family would receive; the original response files and internal checking records are not part of this public sample.
