Your report begins with something you already enjoy: finding out why things work. You then want to make the answer clear to another person. That second part matters. Drawing for your sister asks you to think about what a reader knows, where they might get confused and which detail will help them understand.

Your teacher describes thoughtful links in science and clear visual examples. Your parent sees reading and drawing at home. These are different views of a similar pattern. Your interest answers also give the most weight to investigation, creative activity and helping. Together, they make questions and explanation a sensible direction to explore.

This still leaves several possibilities. You might enjoy finding the answer more than presenting it. You might enjoy the drawing but find repeated checking tiring. You might like explaining familiar ideas and feel differently about a question whose answer is uncertain. Each response would teach us something. We need work that lets you notice these differences.

The habit I would put at the centre is Finish one small investigation. The word small is important. A question about the changing colour of a pond could become a very large science project. Start with one question that a teacher can help you investigate safely. Decide what you can observe, which sources you can use and what your final explanation will contain.

A new idea does not have to be lost. Put it on a next-questions page. Then return to the explanation already in progress. This gives your curiosity a place to go while protecting the work you have begun. When that work is finished, you can choose which question deserves the next turn.

Your own worry deserves a direct answer. You do not have to know your future job in Grade 9. You can make a useful choice now: take one interest far enough to understand the work involved. A completed task, a correction and your reasons for doing more will help later subject decisions far more than a career title chosen quickly.

Use your present subjects as places to practise. Science gives questions and evidence. Mathematics helps you measure and compare. Language work helps you explain. Art or design work helps you show an idea. The curriculum section describes your own school setting, so the plan should fit lessons you already have.

In this sample you are in the first IGCSE year. Compare a science enquiry with a visual explanation from your current subjects. Later AS and A Level choices need exact subject checks; a general stream label will not describe the combination. Ask which courses and combinations the school offers.

The Indian course examples are there to widen your understanding. Read what students study and what they make or investigate. You may find that a course contains more mathematics, reading or revision than its name suggests. That is useful information to bring to a teacher. You are learning how to ask better questions about a route.

At the review, bring a first attempt and a finished version. Explain one change made after feedback. Tell us which part you would willingly do again. If the task did not hold your interest, explain that too. Your next step should follow what you discovered, rather than defend a label in this report.

There is room for curiosity and care in the same piece of work. You already have questions worth exploring. Giving one of them a clear finish will help you see what you can build from it.

A future engineering route needs exact subject and entrance checks. Other institutions can have different routes.
Your next course-reading task

Choose two course pages that ask for different kinds of work. Record three modules or tasks, one demand you had not expected and one question for the school counsellor. Keep the exact links. This turns a university name into information you can use.

These are current course examples, checked on 17 September 2026. They do not establish your future eligibility. At this stage, a school task and a subject conversation are more useful than an application calendar.

Compare the complete cost

Your family’s budget was not supplied. At the right stage, compare tuition, accommodation, meals, materials and travel. Ask which charges can change. Keep a public-university or suitable college route in the comparison as well as private options.

Read financial-aid rules separately from admission rules. Record what documents are needed, when they are due and what an actual award would cover. Do not treat possible aid as money already available. Discuss the remaining cost before paying a deposit.

Dear Asha’s parents and family,

Asha’s interest in questions and visual explanation appears in her own words and in the teacher and family accounts. Please build on those examples. Ask her to show what she is investigating and who the explanation is for. Listening to that account will help more than asking for a final career title.

Her concern is that she should already know what she wants to become. You can reduce that pressure by agreeing a nearer goal: one piece of work finished, checked and explained. This still asks for effort. It gives the effort a purpose that fits Grade 9.

The report’s habit is Finish one small investigation. Help her keep the task manageable. When another idea arrives, encourage her to save it on a separate page. At the end of the task, ask what she learned and which part she would choose again.

School marks and interest scores answer different questions. A mark describes performance in a particular assessment. An interest response concerns an activity she thinks she would enjoy. Neither alone should assign a future subject combination. Ask for the work and feedback behind an important conclusion.

Please use the Indian institution examples to explore course content. There is no need to select a campus now. As a route becomes more serious, the family can discuss subject requirements, costs and study location. The report has not assumed a family budget.
