Rose Mount sponsors a Pilot Project on English Communication Skills and Personality Development for the underprivileged college students

Rose Mount’s Institute of English Language has taken up the privilege of running a three month Pilot project under the aegis of Government of Uttrakhand in Veer Shaheed Kesari Chand Government Degree College Dakpathar, Vikasnagar.

Ms Manisha Pawar, Secretary of Higher Education and Ms Radhika Jha, Additional Secretary of Higher Education, Uttrakhand, India inaugurated the project amongst Principals from various Uttrakhand’s Govt. colleges, staff of Rose Mount’s, the respective students and staff of the college.
Considering the fact that English language has a universal appeal in present time of open economy and globalization, the underlying philosophy of the course is to make the selected 35 students across all streams from the college ready to face interviews and other selection process in order to secure a satisfying job. Special lectures on improving the confidence level of the students are an integral part of the course.

The course is attended by several girls and boys from the tribal areas where such facilities are unavailable. The course has brought about a transformation in their personality. They are more confident and have a more positive outlook towards life. The reports on Periodical assessments shall be submitted to the Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of Uttrakhand for further implementation of the course in other Government Colleges.
