This is the story of how a targeted preparation strategy and a relentless feedback loop helped a B.Tech student achieve her target IELTS score and secure admission to her dream university.
When Aditi first came to Rosemounts, she was frustrated. As a B.Tech student with ambitions to study abroad, she had already attempted the IELTS once but was stuck with an overall score of 5.5. While her Reading and Listening skills were decent, her scores in Writing and Speaking were holding her back. A quick diagnostic confirmed her specific pain points: difficulty with essay structure (task response), coherence, and time management in Writing; and a limited lexical range and fluency in Speaking.
Instead of generic coaching, we built a personalized 10-week plan focused on Aditi’s specific weaknesses.
The first two weeks were an intense immersion in our Writing Lab and Speaking Mock Loop. The Writing Lab focused on one skill per day—from thesis precision to paragraph logic—with every essay receiving detailed, rubric-based feedback within 24 hours. The Speaking Loop simulated real-exam conditions, providing immediate micro-coaching to improve fluency and vocabulary.
By the midway point, Aditi was consistently scoring 7.0-7.5 in her Writing mocks. We introduced our Test Simulator for full-length, timed practice, using analytics to refine her pacing and accuracy. The final weeks were spent polishing her vocabulary—focusing on precision over unnecessarily fancy words—and cementing energy management strategies for test day.
The result of this focused effort was a remarkable score jump. Aditi achieved an overall 7.5 band (Listening 8.0, Reading 7.5, Writing 7.0, Speaking 7.5).
This score didn’t just meet the requirement; it unlocked new opportunities. Aditi received an admission offer from a top-ranked global university, which included a significant tuition discount based on her high language proficiency.
As Aditi says: “The Writing Lab changed everything. My essays became clear, concise, and on-time.”
