Free Hindi proficiency check
This free online Hindi test gives you a consistent snapshot of three written areas: sentence use and grammar, vocabulary, and reading. It is designed for international learners, heritage learners and anyone who wants a clearer starting point before choosing how to study Hindi.
The 30 questions use a fixed answer key. After the test, you receive an overall placement indicator, separate area scores and a practical 14-day plan based on the area that needs the most attention. The result is useful evidence, but it is not a pass-or-fail judgement.

Language proficiency also includes listening, spontaneous speaking and extended writing. Those skills need different evidence and, for course placement, a conversation with a teacher. This assessment is CEFR-aligned for the written areas it checks; it is not an official CEFR certificate.
Look beyond the overall score. The three area scores show whether your profile is balanced or whether one skill should become your first practice priority. Your detailed report explains the boundary of the result so you can make a sensible next decision.
After your result
If you want structured support, explore how Rosemounts teaches conversation, Devanagari, reading and writing in Dehradun and in selected live-online formats. Your written result can begin that conversation; your goals, speaking and listening help complete it.
