The Living SkillBench™ Academy · Grades 9–12
Twenty-three short, guided courses help students build focus, resilience, communication, decision-making and other useful skills for study, work and life—one practical method at a time.
No long lectures. No vague advice. One skill, one method and one short Round at a time.
Disha
MananBuilt for use, not display
Students often hear that communication, resilience, decision-making or time management matter. The harder question is: what do I actually do?
SkillBench turns each broad skill into a small, usable move. A student meets a familiar situation, learns a method and tries it while the idea is still fresh.
Inside every course
The structure stays familiar so the student can concentrate on the skill—not on learning a new system every time.
Disha or Manan introduces one useful skill through a situation a student can recognise.
A clear, plain-language method turns an abstract idea into something the student can use.
Six short scenarios ask the student to choose, think and apply the method—not merely remember it.
The student sees where their response sits and gets one practical step for further practice.
The Grades 9–12 pathway
The sequence moves from foundations and confidence to personal structure and readiness for the next stage. Every title below is one short course in the Academy.
Start with purpose, focus, resilience, communication and careful judgement.
Strengthen confidence, expression, digital judgement, decisions and adaptability.
Manage time, responsibility, trade-offs, reasoning and personal standards.
Turn evidence, execution, readiness and contingency planning into action.
A benchmark, not a verdict
The Round helps a student see whether the skill is Emerging, Developing or Secure in that set of situations. The result is not a permanent label. It is a practical starting point for growth.
From course to wider practice
A short course can teach a useful method. Real capability grows when a student uses that method again, under less predictable conditions and for a purpose that matters.
Guided projects are being introduced as the next layer of SkillBench. They will give students a larger setting in which to apply, make, reflect and improve. We will present them as part of the Academy only as they become available.
The student learning space
The Academy opens in a separate learning space. Rosemounts students and partner-school learners use the access details provided to them.
Open the student AcademyQuestions students, parents and schools ask
It is Rosemounts Institute’s short-course learning space for practical skills. Each course focuses on one skill, teaches one usable method and gives the student a short scenario-based Round in which to apply it.
The present Academy pathway contains 23 courses designed for students in Grades 9–12. Each grade has its own developmental focus and course sequence.
Most courses are designed to take about 15 minutes. They are deliberately short so that a student can focus on one skill and one method at a time.
The Round places the student’s responses on an Emerging, Developing or Secure benchmark and gives a practical next move. It is guidance for growth, not a label or verdict.
Guided projects are the next layer being introduced. The short courses teach the method first; the projects will give students a larger, meaningful setting in which to apply it.
Yes. Rosemounts can discuss a suitable school pathway, student access and how the short courses can sit alongside an existing student-development programme.
