Study and work abroad · English test preparation

Prepare for the test you actually need.

IELTS, DET, PTE and TOEFL are not interchangeable in every situation. Start with your destination, institution, deadline and present English level—then build the preparation plan.

Rosemounts offers preparation for all four tests. Current batches, delivery modes and timings are confirmed before registration.

Preparation becomes useful when practice is focused, timed and reviewed.

Preparation in practice

A target score needs a practical plan.

Knowing the test format is only the beginning. Students need regular practice, useful feedback and a clear understanding of what to improve before the next attempt. The preparation plan should connect that work with the learner’s score, deadline and destination.

Compare the pathways

Four tests, clearly explained on one page.

Each test has its own format and demands. Keeping the four options together makes comparison easier while each section remains clear enough for students, search engines and AI systems.

Before preparation begins

Choose the exam for a reason.

A test should serve the application. We begin with the requirement, then look at the learner and the available preparation.

  1. 01

    Confirm the requirement

Check the test and score accepted by the relevant institution, employer or visa route.

  2. 02

    Review the starting level

Use a diagnostic and conversation to understand current strengths, gaps and time available.

  3. 03

    Agree the preparation plan

Confirm the suitable test, current programme, delivery mode, timetable and practice expectations.

Questions people ask

What to know before you begin.

Which test should I take—IELTS, DET, PTE or TOEFL?

Begin with the institutions, country and visa requirements relevant to you. Acceptance rules can differ, so the right choice should be based on your actual destination and application—not popularity.

Does Rosemounts prepare students for all four tests?

Yes. Rosemounts offers preparation for IELTS, the Duolingo English Test, PTE and TOEFL. The current schedule and format are confirmed before registration.

Do I need a diagnostic before joining?

A diagnostic or starting-level conversation helps us understand the gap between your present performance and target. It also helps prevent you from joining an unsuitable plan.

Are classes available online?

Selected test-preparation options may be available live online as well as in person in Dehradun. The active format depends on the test, teacher and batch.

Can Rosemounts guarantee a score?

No responsible preparation programme can guarantee a score. Rosemounts can provide structured teaching, practice and feedback; the outcome also depends on the learner’s starting level, consistency and test-day performance.
