The research

We went and checked.

Career guidance is full of confident frameworks that nobody has ever tested. So we read the primary research ourselves and put roughly 700 claims through an adversarial check, where independent reviewers were instructed to try to refute each one against the original published tables. Three widely used frameworks did not survive. We have published what we found, including the parts that were commercially inconvenient.

The Career Research, in Plain English

A 20-minute read · Published August 2026

The same research written for someone who has not read a working paper. The theory, the numbers, the myths it killed, and what it permits us to say.

Verified

Meta-analytic or trial evidence, checked at the original source. We quote the number.

Promising

The mechanism is verified, but the intervention is not yet proven. We say so.

Frontier

We think this is true and we are still testing it. We admit it.

Every claim we publish carries one of these three labels. So does every claim inside the programme.
