An assessment should begin a conversation—not end one.

Start with the question you are trying to answer. A short Discovery Assessment may be enough to notice one useful pattern. A more important educational or career decision may need several lenses, a clear report and a counsellor who can interpret the whole picture.

No assessment on this page is presented as a diagnosis, guarantee or final verdict.

Complimentary starting tools

Notice one useful thing before deciding what comes next.

Discovery Assessments are deliberately smaller in scope. They help you locate a starting point; they do not produce a full career pathway or include Manan.

When the decision needs more depth

The pathway should fit the person's stage.

A school student selecting subjects, a university learner reconsidering direction and a professional planning a change should not receive the same assessment process.

Guidance for the decision in front of you

Assessment is selected around the actual question—course, specialisation, higher study, internship, skill gap or first career direction—rather than applying the same battery to everyone.

A different stage needs a different lens

Professional guidance can draw on Values, Interests, the 16PF personality framework and Skills alongside work history, responsibilities and the transition being considered.

What results really mean

A map is useful because it is not a command.

Rosemounts treats assessment evidence as one part of a larger decision. The student's voice, lived context, opportunities and experience remain essential.

Read how the evidence is used
01

An assessment can reveal a pattern.

It can help you notice priorities, interests, preferences, present skills or readiness that may be difficult to name without structure.

02

It cannot choose one perfect future.

A result does not know every opportunity, constraint, experience or change that will shape a life. It supports judgement; it does not replace it.

03

Meaning comes from context.

The same pattern can mean different things for two people. Age, education, family context, opportunity and the decision ahead all matter.

04

Action provides new evidence.

A conversation, course, subject experience or guided project can test an idea and help a student refine the next step.

Common questions

Before you take an assessment.

What is the difference between a Discovery Assessment and VIP+?

A Discovery Assessment is a complimentary, focused starting point around one question or level. The VIP+™ Career Pathway Program is a fuller counsellor-guided journey for school students that brings four assessment lenses together with a personalised report, counselling and Manan.

Will a career assessment tell me exactly what to become?

No. A responsible assessment identifies patterns and opens suitable directions for investigation. It cannot predict one perfect career or make the final choice for a student.

Do Discovery Assessments include Manan?

No. Manan is the guide inside the personalised VIP+™ Career Pathway Report. Discovery Assessments are shorter standalone starting tools.

Are the same assessments used for students and professionals?

No. The assessment set should fit the learner’s stage and decision. School students, university learners and working professionals have different contexts and therefore may need different instruments and conversations.

What happens after I complete a Discovery Assessment?

Use the result as a starting insight. You may choose a course, explore a question further or speak with Rosemounts about whether a fuller assessment and counselling pathway would be useful.

Not sure which starting point fits?

Tell us the decision you are facing.

Rosemounts will help you decide whether a short Discovery Assessment, a placement test or a fuller counsellor-guided pathway is appropriate.
